Jake is our oldest on the team, joining back in 2019. His favourite local go-to spot is Greenough Beach for a fun wave, although his often up at his second home in Kalbarri, chasing some bigger lefts at Jakes point. His a right hand man and he says his biggest inspiration is definitely his dad, who taught him everything he knows about surfing and life in general. Jakes competed on national level and has taken out many memorable wins all over the west coast.

Edel is our most recent team rider, joining KJS in 2025. Surfing has been a part of Edel's life for quite a few years now. She says the start of it all was being gifted a bright pink soft top board for her 10th birthday- with absolutely no experience she took her new board down to her local Back Beach and fell in love. Edel's all time favourite wave "has to be Bowes (I have spent a lot of time there!!)." As she's excelled and now surfing bigger and tricker waves, Jake's Point has also become a fav. Some of Edel's biggest inspirations whilst progressing her surfing have been the older local girls; "I always look up to them and I'm pushed harder by them while competing,” she says. 

Cruz has been on the team since 2024. His favourite wave is Tombstones in Gnaraloo - "It's a goofy footers dream heavy barrel" he says. Cruz's all time inspiration is Jack Robinson, because he grew up charging massive slabs in Western Australia and his also proved that his talent and mindset can handle any conditions." We love Cruz's determination, spirit and positivity while competing at national level - he truly is an incredible natural talent.
