Community is at the heart of everything we do at Kalbarri Jetty Surf. From supporting emerging talent to hosting and sponsoring well-established events across the Midwest, we’re proud to nurture and celebrate our young surf community. Take a look at some things we are proud to be a part of.
Frothin Fools Festival x GBRJDC
In collaboration with Geraldton Boardriders Junior Development Club (GBRJDC), we’ve been running Frothin Fools since 2018 as a way to support our young and passionate surfing community. Frothin fools was built on the idea to give kids under 18 the chance to learn the ropes of competition and sportsmanship, but most importantly, to have fun.
Seven years on, Frothin Fools is bigger than ever, attracting surfers and their families from across Western Australia. With our state often overlooked on the national stage, it was important for us to create a platform for young talent to gain exposure and compete in professional-style heats.
It’s one of our favourite times of the year - nothing beats seeing the smiles as winners are crowned, lifted from the water, and cheered on by the crowd. Keep an eye on our socials for the next Frothin Fools - you don't want to miss this weekend of sun, surf, and ultimate froth!
Revolve Junior Skate Competition x Infinity Skate WA
As we know, our Kalbarri is home to many young groms who don't just take on the waves, but the bowls too.
Hosted by the incredible Infinity Skate WA and in collaboration with many epic businesses, we put on a pretty epic day at the Kalbarri Skatepark for our young Skate community.
There's a DJ, band, good food and company and some crazy tricks and drops coming out of some tiny talents in our Midwest.
Entrants win some huge prizes from us at Kalbarri Jetty Surf and Skate, to keep them on the boards and in the water. It's a day the whole community gets together and you just don't wanna miss!
Kalbarri Christmas Party
The event that we also count the days down to every year - our annual Christmas fiesta that gets the whole town talking. We created this event not only for massive savings before Christmas (think of it like Black Friday but better), but as a way of saying thank you and giving back to our local community.
The Kalbarri Jetty Surf Christmas Party is a night of live tunes, open bars, massive giveaways, dancing and vibes.
So when it's that time of year, put your dancing shoes on and come down to Shop 5, to smash out the chrissy shopping and experience a night like no other.
